Hunting season has started so did anyone get anything?

 

It hasnt started here yet,I have to wait another 9 days to get in the woods but I will post when I do get something.

A 5x5 bull elk on sept 19th and a 4x5 mule buck on sept 20 .Still have three hunts left this fall.

 

muzzleloader starts this weekend for 1st season. last till the 19th. then 25th pheasant season opens. then dec 13 deer shotgun opens. then dec 22 2nd season muzzle. then jan 10 2nd season muzzle and pheast season ends

 

Has anyone shot or seen "the big one" since the changes last year? Talking about deer and the current bow season in PA. Do you think the changes are going to help produce the big bucks?

 

just filled my archery tag last night with a 4X4 whitetail. Could'nt pass up the 12 yard shot!!! Don't think it will make P&Y but it will be close. Have 4 tags left so it can only get better.

 

On thurs I was scouting for a place to deer hunt. I saw a moose there a week ago so I was on the look out since they are in rut and unpredictable. When I got to the power line I saw a cow and a calf only 50 yrds away. I froze, then out come a huge bull. It was awesome, but I was scared for my life now, and thought how stupid I was being. Then another moose came out of the woods and the bull went that way, I thought a fight may be on. So I went a little closer to get a better look since they went over the hill. It was just another calf. They all ran down the power line about 300 yrds. and back into the woods. What a rush. I kept thinking how stupid I was being and how I wish I had a camera at the same time. As for as Hunting goes, I would like to get out soon.

 

last weekend i saw the big one lol. it was a 10 point buck but im new to bow hunting and was too far away for me. i didnt wanna make a bad shot and injure it to where it runs into the woods and ends up dying where nobody would ever be a ble to find it. maybe next time [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Even with a perfic shot things can go wrong. My first deer was a 6 pointer, lost the trail . Felt bad about it. I searched for 2 days, and never saw it again all season. You,ll get him next time.

 

well with the bow i got a 8 point, i got a doe with the muzzle loader and i am in the hunt for the 30 point that is running around my gf's fathers farm (900 acres of farm land corn , mud, cows, woods, streams ect. its the real deal) i did see him but he was smart and stayed out of range, i was glade i had my binoc's with me lol he is a monster and as soon as i knock him over ill pic him stuff his head, eat him and love it
