Question I need advice !

Hi, my name is curt and im a quadaholic ! I was hoping you guys could help me buy my next quad . Im like your dads age and i bought a large parcel of land and need to get around it. I want a quad thats automatic can work some and be able to take along a passenger sometimes. I want to buy it used so i don't pay all the extra costs. My friend has a polaris , i heard the brake cylinder on the handlebars rub your hands raw. I had a blaster , it was alittle small but i beat the snot out of it. Then in puerto rico 2 weeks ago i rode a can-am outlander 2 seater ,thru the rainforest, that was sweet ! But which do you guys that have rode them all think is the best of the best ! I want to spend no more then $5000.00 if possible. Do i need a 700-800 or could i get away with a 500 and still take the wife along. Some of the bigger atvs , can you get a passenger seat or throw a blanket down ? Thanks for any help you can give me , i do apprieciate it ! Thanks , Curt

You can find a lot of ATVs in the 500 range that will meet all of your needs. I have 2 Polaris quads with the 500 and it is plenty powerful and quick enough. High 50s for top end. These quads are really good at pulling too. If you can find a used Polaris Sportsman X2 you have one of the best utility quads out there. The rear can tote 400 lbs. in its pickup style bed and it can also convert to a 2 seater.

NADA says low would be about $4100 and high about $5100. CanAms are usually the most powerful in each engine category. Probably enough power for what you described but not as much capacity on the rear rack as an X2.
