have a polaris 500 Sportsman ho, will not start
ran great , started great no problems. Now suddenly will not start.
will crank but will not start. Have fresh gas in tank, Have a good spark, Have a good flow of gas to carb. , Have replaced the sprk plug.

Any suggestions

 

Does it start with the pull rope?
Mine had a hard time starting , turned out dirty water made its way down the pull rope hole into the recoil and made the pulse coil dirty/rusty. I cleaned the pulse coil's magnetic face up and it started up great after that.
I siliconed the pull rope handle over the rope hole so water will not get in again.

 

we have never tried to pull start it. I tried to pull start but ther cord is stuck and will not pull.

Question - if the battery is charged, but not pulling anough amps , which would mean the atv cranks but not crank fast enough, would that cause it not to start too?

 

Does not take much of a turn over to start if working right.
When my pulse coil was dirty the ATV would start with the pull rope but not with the electric starter turning it over for some reason.

Since the pull start won't work may be like what this member found on the pulse coil. Just pull the recoil and check it out along with the stator and pulse coil. http://forums.atvconnection.com/pola...ml#post3155476
