Default Howdy

Hello everybody. New guy here. I joined mainly for some tech help that I am having trouble finding elsewhere. I use my quad out and about my property, probably won't use it for any recreational stuff (but not opposed to that). I am in California in the SF Bay Area mountains. Had a few bikes in the past but only have a quad and a POS Chinese UTV that I got for free (hardly worth the price at that). I spent 20 years as a Honda (cars and Acura dealer mechanic so I know my way around the toolbox and shop. Now I aim retired from that and self-employed as a farmer.

Anyhow, that's enough about me.

Welcome to the forums. I hope you can find an answer in the Chinese quad section.

Thanks. Yeah, I have been putting off trying to fix it but now that I have a Honda quad I can take the Kazuma apart and diagnose it.... Hopefully the parts will be available.

What happens is that periodically the transmission will disengage and grind while under way. I have to stop and wait for it to dry back to idle before taking off again. I am almost positive that there is a partially stripped drive gear in it but need to tear into it to confirm.
