Ther are no unusual problems, except that it is old. Some parts can be a challenge to get. Good two stroke maintanance is all that is required to keep it running good. It is about the same size as the 250R. The Tecate really improves with wider A-Arms and front shocks. Good luck.

I have an 88 tecate 4 and its nice. It was a one owner until december. Then it changed hands to the guy I bought it off of. They will run, and I mean run. My bro just bought a raptor and when we race, I can pull him through 3rd but then he pulls me top end. they are both stock. My quad is stock all the way down to the tires. hope that helps. oh yeah and the suspension is more like a 250R. It's actually nice riding.
