I am interested in getting new shocks for the front of my 96 mojave. I am looking for a smoother ride. I do mostly aggressive trails riding and some jumping. The stock shocks are sure beating me up. I was looking for some feedback from anyone who has changed thier front shocks. I am considering works they seem to be the most reasonible priced. I was also wondering if I should get them with the remote rezzy?

I too own a Mojave (1987) so my shocks are pretty beat to hell as well. However after pricing and ordering a pair of Works from a local Dealer I was told they could no longer acquire them. After being quite distraught (knowing how aftermarket parts are hard to come by for a Kawasaki) the salesperson informed me they have a supplier that custom makes shocks. They ask what bike, driver's weight with gear, and type of riding you do. A front pair with tri-rate springs without cans cost me $340. Not bad in my opinion. With cans they cost $440.

BTW, if you decide not to get cans, you can add them later! You can't lose. If you are seriously interested drop me a line and I’ll find out all the info for you.

Sorry I had it backwards, the shocks I ordered 1st I don't recall the brand. But the custom shocks are from Works Performance. They are about 3 weeks behind. I'm still waiting.

Their number is 818-701-1010

in response to your question about front shocks..
order a pair of works steelers for the front and yes get cans... it keeps the shock oil cooler and gives a better ride all day long... when the oil gets hot it flows through the valves in the shocks easier.. whichs makes them squishy after alot of hard riding... i have a 99 and a 00 Mojave. when you order them make sure your that you give them your weight with all your riding gear on....
