Default EPI has the new Pink spring!!!

I just ordered the new pink spring from EPI. I didn't see it on their web site so I called them up (218-

829-6036) and they have them ready. It's made specifically for Kawasaki. It's part #DRS20 and sells

for $19.99. I talked to the tech there and he didn't have the specs in front of him but he said it's 2 1/2"

long, has the same engagement as the stock spring and shifts out right before redline. He also said that

he tried it on a V-force and made it rev much higher and faster than stock! When the UPS man brings it to

my door, i'll give you all a run down on what it does. Later!!

Is the epi pink sping for the drive spring or the driven spring? I already have the black spring in the driven. What is the pink spring supposed to do for the prairie 650???????????????

I TALKED TO THE EPI TECH AND THE PINK SPRING IS DESIGNED FOR THE V FORCE CAUSE PEOPLE WITH DUALS AND AIR BOX MODS WITH THERE RED SPRING IN THE PRO KIT SUCKS. I HAD THE PRO KIT WHEN I FIRST GOT THE QUAD AND FOR BONE STOCK IT IS AN IMPROVEMENT BUT WHEN YOU DRILL 30 HOLES IN YOUR AIR BOX REMOVE SNORKLE AND JET 160-165 WITH DUALS THAT PRO KIT IS WORTHLESS. THE ENGAGEMENT CHANGES CAUSE YOUR RPMS GO UP IN MID TO TOP QUICKER AND THE RED SPRING IS WRONG. THE NEW SPRING THAT IS PINK HAS THE SAME ENGAGEMENT AS STOCK BUT LETS OUT LATER. STOCK IS 20/90. THE PINK IS 15-20/127 IS WHAT I WAS TOLD SO I HAVE MINE ON ORDER. WILL GIVE FULL REPORT

like i said i talked to epi tech told me pink spring more designed for 650 that it engages at lower rpm so u have less torque off the start than the red one with the pro kit and that hes talked to guys from kawasaki team green and they like there pro kits i like mine so dont believe pink spring is right if u want the torque off the start

So basically, for the 650 it would just give a faster top speed? Am I right by thinking this?

I've got the black spring and lost a little bit on top end and was reading on another thread that this may add a couple of mph back on top.

Is this true?
