Default Nabor module review.......

Alltoy's... I certainly respect your opinion, or I wouldn't have jumped out & bought this unit, before the "few" Ted had on the shelf, sold out... I think the modifications that you've done on your quad, at least intimidate most average riders... there are no internal modifications to my motor, I'll be running stock clutch springs ( new '03 front primary though )...I have a custom air intake / filter box, rejetted, & a Pendland series Big Gun exhaust... & yes, unfortunately I have one of the "slow" Prairies, my top speeds have been much less than some reported, even with my modifications... 2 X 4, & the 1st 4 X 4 tests will be done with the stock Dunflats, on stock wheels... so I'm sure alot of you will be able to run times faster than I'll be posting, the purpose of this up coming report will be to document real world improvements ??? in times & speeds between the non-modulated quad & the D.G. unit & the Naber unit... my tach is guarenteed to be delivered before this weekend, so barring any instalation glitches, I'll include tach readings on the top speed runs... I'm a little optmistic as FIREMAN reported what he percieved as an increase in mid / top speed acceleration with his Naber module... I've got 2-3 guys to help with the testing ( unfortuneatly they are not active on the forums ) so you'll have to take my word for the results, what ever they may be... I've purchased both of these modules with my money, so you can expect an honest & unbiased report... if you've got any questions, let me know...WAM

Default Nabor module review.......

I'm certainly glad you (newbeatle) are doing these tests for everyone. I believe NYROC is going to test all of the modules against each other for his website. I hope it performs as described by Alltoys, but it is sounding allot like it is just the new flavor of the month. It's size is really big though, so maybe there is some stuff in it to make it work. After reading a post about the cdi from the tech guy that made the DG unit, it sounds unlikely it can do any better using the same three wires of the cdi. Maybe Nabor will refund your money if it doesn't do as advertised. Did it come with connectors, tape, tie-wraps or any hardware, or was it just the module with wires sticking out? (I am just wondering if it looks like it is made in somebody's garage? I want to be careful before I mail off a Franklin and some change!) Thanks.

PRAIRIE633... It looks professionally put together, ALLTOY's reports that the output is very "clean", so I wouldn't be worried about it being a "Garage Built" unit... it didn't come with connectors, but the instructions reccommend soldering the wires & heat shinking ( I suppose it could have included the heat shrink tube ??? )...WAM

Default Nabor module review.......

After testing my DG module I ended up soldering the wires anyway. I also used heat shrink tubing and liquid tape.

Mike, I sure wish I had the time and place to run test like you are getting ready to do. I love doing test and compiling data. I want to thank you for the time you will spend on this project. I look forward to reading about the results.

Default Nabor module review.......

I too plan on testing this module. I just received the Nabor module in the mail yesterday. I already have the dg module. I have a Passport GT2 Timer. I don't think I have the room to do much more than 0-50 runs, but I will post the results from Stock, DG and Nabor hopefully Sunday afternoon.

It is similar to a g-tech, but it shows acceleration times in 10mph increments, as well as 60ft, 330ft, 660ft, 1000ft and 1/4 mile. Also is supposed to calculate HP, I will give that a try also. Here is a link to the G-timer.
