He said he will give me $500 if I leave my quad at my parents instead of taking it to college with me. I'm not sure how much I would be riding it out at college since I will have a weekend job and being a full time student.
I trust him that he will pay for it since he does take good care of his own car, well really the car that my dad lets him use, by fixing it and buying new parts when somthing goes wrong. I could talk to my dad too and have him make sure he is taking care of it and other things.
I can really use this money to help pay the quad off, I'm just not sure if it would be worth the risk of letting him use it for the winter. I will probably tell him he will have to be doing all of the maintence and paying for the oil and stuff with it too. Make him keep a log of the hours so he knows when to change oil, etc.
Do you think this is a good idea to let him use it for the winter?

I would prolly leave it, if you cant trust family you cant trust anyone. I would expect it to have some new scratches on it when you get back to ride it though. I guess thats what the $500 is for.
Maybe have him make the payments on it while your gone too if it isnt that close to being paid off.
