Just wanting to know what everybody who owns the p700 thinks about it.Is the belt problems any better with this model.I heard they changed a clutch in the tranny and using the v700 belt.I am wanting to step up to a 700 from a 500.The 700 has been out long enough now to know how the reliability will be. Any problems with the electronics,[servos, readouts, etc.]Sorry so many questions, just want to hear all pros and cons of p700.Any replies appreciated.Thanks.

The clutch problems have been fixed. The belt lasts longer, and the driven bushing lasts longer and is replaceable. But you still have to keep the belt tight like the 650 belt. It is not a big deal.

We have the solution to fix all the older 650's and the clutch is not an issue. I would buy another 2002 650 in a heartbeat. There is no reason for you to be concerend about the CVT on any of these models, unless you only listen to the dealer. Some dealers are not smart enough to take care of the belt correctly, and the salesmen are also uniformed and persuade people to get hondas due to "650 belt problems".

What "belt problem"? My 650 does not have a "belt problem" because I take care of it myself. My belt has 900 miles and is not even half worn. My first belt died at 500, and that is when I woke up, smelled the coffee, and learned to adjust the belt (and add the black spring).
