Not alot of sand around here. I have climbed steep creek banks with deep wet sand and did well.

I ask a local dealer what some of the differences were between the 03 and 04 model, he just said the front bumper and the cc’s. The prices he loosely quoted me were $6200 for the 650 and $6600 for the 700. Are these machines as good as I have heard compared with the other competition?

I was faced with the same dilemma just over a month ago. I got one of the last 650's the dealer had, and saved quite a few bucks. I couldn't be happier! I have nearly 500 miles and 55 hrs. on the bike, and no problems . I have rode it hard, but maintained it well, and it just keeps getting better. I rode the 650 and 700, and if you'll save a grand getting the 650, you just can't go wrong. And YES in My opinion, the Prairies kick A$$ over the competition!!!

Sounds like your dealer is trying to push you to the 700. $6,600 is a good price. You can do better than $6,200 for a 650. They're going for $5,900 around here.

You'll have a blast on either but if the prices you quoted are as good as it gets I would pull the trigger on the 700.
