Default 650 CLUTCHING AND RPM

Hi I just joined and I have a 650 KVF stock exept for 27 inch mudzillas and black secondary spring.. I want to just make sure that I understand everything that was said about clutches.. primary machine it so that it will close further (normal rx-1 problem) and get the belt closer to the top. secondary clutch the helix slots must be made longer to let the belt move closer to the bottom.
Also has anybody put a tach on one to see what they run at stock???

thanks for your help

MORETOYS... welcome to the forum... there are several knowledgable forum members on here... & as you've obviously done your homework, I'd suggest you P.M. some people before jumping into machining the clutches... the replacements are expensive ( I know, I replaced both primary & seconday clutches... secondary needs rebuilt ), & unreversable mistakes are easy to do... but it is my intention to make some modifications this winter to my "extra" clutches... guys like ALLTOY's, SHOTGUN, HELIX, DIRTYWHITEBOY, WILDWILL...& others have already made some machining changes... some simply lightening them others more radical... rather than wrecking, a set of clutches, I've been learning & contributing, in an attempt to become comfortable ( I believe I am now ), with which changes to make... I look forward to your contributions to the cause...WAM
