on my mojave the two little black cirles of plastic on the left side of the plastic by the air filter are all stripped out from the previous owner. now i have to take of all my plastic to clean the filter! how can i ge these out to allow me to undo the screws.

 

one the white plastic like the fender plastic on the left side of the gas tank there are 2 black plastic circles that can be unscrewed to stick a screw driver through to reach the top screws for the air filter. these 2 plastic circles are stripped and i cant get them out. how can i get them out?

 

just force them out, you dont need them

 

Thats what those are for? lol i guess i learn something every day, it makes sense i guess.

 

well how else did you change your air filter? or didnt you! i think i might drill them out then kinda pop out the outsides because i cant just pop them out because of the lip that clamps over the white plastic.

Just took off all the plastic, i have a lot of time to do things.

 

ya but i dont want to take off my plastice every week since it will need to be cleaned regularily. i took out the front head light and put some grating in to make it like a ram air. and put some bashee style lights tuked under the fenders
