250 Mojave flywheel puller...HELP
#1
Does anyone know what the correct size the flywheel puller for a '88 250 mojave is?
dennis kirk list 2 diferent ones, a 35mmx 1.5 mm and a 30mm x 1.5 both seem too large to me and past orders of puller through them left me with 2 for a 200x honda and neither fit.
So I am hoping someone can help.
Thanks

hey!, since i had such a hard time with mine and stuff i thought id try to help, well the flywheel puller is terrible!! i bought one off of denniskirk, oiled it, and impact wrenched it and eventually all the threads on the puller messed up really bad, so i bought a 2 armed puller from the local auto parts store (auto zone) and it has 2 arms and a bolt down the middle, well i got the arms around the back of the puller and put the main bolt assembly into the flywheel center and impact wrenched it and when it stopped i did it again, then i let off and reversed it out then impacted it again, but im gonna assume you dont own one, well you get a breaker bar or anytihng with a 1/2inch drive and the correct socket for the puller assembly and just keep going tightening it and when it becomes almost impossible to tighten hit the top of the puller with a hammer a god 5 or 6 times and then grab the puller and shake up and down and then try turning it a lilttle bit more, now undo the assembly and it should come right off, if this doesnt work the first time just keep repeating it and it shall work, if worse comes to worse take it to the dealer, my dealer is very stingy and wanted 40$ for it but they said it was so easy for them that they did it for free, good luck and if you need any help just ask, also dont worry about the threads inside the flywheel, they are practically indestructable, and the bolt is tourqued at 70foot pounds

Yeah I remember pulling my flywheel off, it was a big pain in the A$$! I was able to do it with the flywheel puller. When using the puller you need to have a wrench that holds the flywheel, because otherwise you'll just turn the cranckshaft. While you are doing this be sure to install a new timing chain just to be safe. I had the Goki Elec. start on mine also and it worked pretty well.

The correct size puller is a 18mm x 1.5mm right hand thread male, Denniskirk sells one for the Mojaves and it is a 35mm x 1.5mm female, not even close WTF?
All I know is that the pullers listed for the kawasaki mojave and the honda 200x at denniskirk are all wrong!
