Default DYNOJET JETTING PROBLEMS ON A V/FORCE

i have had 2 dealerships install this jet and my V is still getting out run by stock V's right off the show room floor. they are jetting it 124F 128R and the needles are on the 5th notch. I have DMC duals and a K&N air filter and the airbox is untouched and pink spring installed any help would be great because gettin beat by stock stuff stinks

orangerocket926...

I had the same problems when I installed my dynojet kit. No matter which notch I place the needle on, it would run way too rich which means lost horsepower. I ended up leaving the dyno jets in and putting the origional needles back in and it screams now. When you get it jetted correctly, you should have no problem leaving the stockers behind you. You will probably want to switch to a more aggressive spring if you want to go Raptor hunting.

I yanked my dynojet kit out, I got it running pretty good on the fourth notch(needle clip) and the largest jets in the kit, but after messing with it one day and putting stock needles and 155f/160r mains back in I'm stickin' with this set-up. You'll also want to open up your airbox. I put a set of TPI sliders on top of my airbox and removed the snorkel, check my pics. You can order the vents from thunderproducts.com. I like them because you can adjust the amount of airflow depending on your conditions. Try popping either the front 2 or rear 2 clips and putting them under the airbox lid, this will give you an idea of what more flow can do for you. Jetting can make ya crazy at times but once you get it squared away you'll much enjoy the newfound power. Get Some!

I have found just the opposite with the dyno jet kit. I couldnt get the thing dialed in for nothing with the stock jets and needles. I had a constant sputter from low to mid rpm. I then went to a dyno jet kit. Needles on the 4th clip with the jets 130-134. I found this to be perfect for stock exhaust with and aftermarket filter. I run the jets up 2 sizes for my exhaust when i run where noise isnt an issue. If your not at high elevation your jetting is to lean for duals. I am at about 500ft. At below 2000ft i would run the 130-134 jets with the needle at the 4th notch.

Mine runs awesome with the dynojet jet kit in it. This is dyno proven, I gained 1 rwhp just by adding the kit. I bet I know exactly what yall are doing wrong, because I did it and lost major power. When I first got the kit, I did some base runs and after I put it in, it lost 10 rwhp!!!! I called my guy at dynojet and said I put it togather wrong somehow, so I took it apart and noticed that I had pinched the slide spring and it wasnt letting my slides open up all the way. When u install the kit, make sure you get your springs in right, and after you do, slide it up and down manually, you will hear a click, that is everything getting lined up in there. Now it runs like a top and im very happy.
