V-Force dead battery= S.O.L???
#1
I was just wondering if there was any way of starting the V if the battery was to die in the middle of
nowhere. I ride about 20 miles from my truck and it gets a little unnerving to think what would happen if
the battery died. Any suggestions other than bringing a tow rope?

You can get small ATV cables that will let you jump if you are with a buddy
Otherwise I'd suggest somthing like a battery tender to keep your battery at full charge while you are not riding...assuring you a full load when you leave the garage...they are "smart" and won't overcharge a battery so they can be left plugged in

Its a real concern but I have never been concerned about this, until now...hehe. You can't even tow start the V if the battery dies and when the battery dies so does the fuel pump, thats a concern on the Praire. What if you kill the battery on the Praire, you pull start it you better have enough fuel in the carbs or else your SOL as the fuel pump will not be getting any power, once started the alternator would make power for the fuel pump and you would be off, just don't dick around pull starting it.
