Default 700, 360 or V700 belt for my 650

O.K. its time to replace the belt on my Prairie. I've read numerous reviews and I'm still not convinced what belt to go with. I'm not expecting night and day difference, but if I'm spending the money I might as well get the best available right. Any performance gains are better than none.

I would go with the 700 belt simply because it is more durable than the other's and will last longer.....as usual putting the EPI black secondary spring in, and keeping the belt in proper deflection along with the 700 belt should give you longer service.......

Default 700, 360 or V700 belt for my 650

Crazyrc,
Run a search on this forum for my P700 belt v P650 belt test...its entitled "P700 belt drag times on asphalt" In a nutshell, my testing showed the P700 belt added 1mph to my top speed in high range and 2mph to my top speed in low range. Otherwise, the acceleration times of these 2 belts were practically identical. Kawasaki customer service has told me on the phone that the P700 belt is made of better material (should last longer) than the P650 belt and that the P700 belt should not cause any problems if installed on a P650. I've put 100 miles or so on my P700 belt and I'm happy with it so far.

Happy trails...
