Default too many problems with 650

Now I really miss Nyroc's site as all this info is posted. The springs are out of a KLR 650, as Kodiac 1 said. The dealer should know all about that fix. The check valve is located just behind the fuel tank; you'll see a rubber hose coming out of it and going into the frame, the valve is ty-rapped in place. Take the valve off and you'll see that it comes apart. Take it apart and there is a little flapper valve inside. Throw the flapper away. Put the valve back together and put it back in it's place. Done.

Default too many problems with 650

NovaKawi Thanks for the info as well as others. I called Kawasaki directly and talked to the Rick fellow that all the dealers can call and talk to and he told me something simaliar. Only thing he did leave out was the info about the choke not closing causing the problem to be worse. Mine is at the dealer right now. I took it down because now the engine is making a really bad knocking sound almost like a rod knocking. I just changed dealers because the dealer I bought it from is about as smart as a pet rock. I think their mechs. come straight off the welfare line with a pair of pliars and a screwdriver and think they can work on these complicated machines. In the process of them adjusting, and suposedly cleaning my carbs "so they said" they left my snorkle off and I didn't know it. It was run for at least 12-15 hours without a snorkle, until I got outrun by a rincon and decided that something must be wrong and started looking my quad over. Thats when I found the snorkle missing and made a call to the dealer. Of course they denied it all but ended up replacing it free of charge, because they couldn't tell me how it got off the bike without them forgetting to put it back on. Anyway I don't know whats up with my bike now. I'm just hoping they don't try to stick me with paying for everything that is wrong with it. I paid good money for the bike and also for the extended warrenty but now every time something is wrong with it they keep telling me "That's not covered under your warrenty". I don't mind paying for something I do wrong but when its the product and not user error I get hot when they expect me to cover the bill. Anyway before I get upset about all that non-sense thanks for everyones help. Any additional info that anyone can add please do so because I would like to know any and all things to watch out for.
