Default Limited Edition Plastics Break Easy

A friend of mine just bought a new Lava Red V Force after I tolled him how much I enjoyed the V over all the other quads I have owned. We went riding this weekend and as he was lifting this new bike off of his trailer a big chuck of the lava red plastic broke off the edge of the fender. His shoulder pressed against it (not hard at all). It seems the red plastic is a different composite then the green and orange and long term I don’t think the will hold up at all. This has stopped me from changing my plastic to the Lava or Carbon, but as far as looks you cannot beat it.

When I was at the dealer they had a lava one there and I got into talking with the kid about the plastics he said there is no flex to them sure enough I pressed on the fender and though I would break that the first time I roll it..

98cobra,

Ever ride in Lakehurst sand pits? Six of us were just down their last weekend? The guy with the Lava Red V Force lives in Brick, NJ.

I hope that is not going to be common. I will take extra care not to break plastic. It is too good looking of a bike

I haven't rolled mine yet, but that would suck if they all are that brittle Hopefully they're not. If you did break one would warranty cover it or would they say you can keep both halves

RJ,
never been there maybe I could meet up with you guys next time you go out? I don't have friends that own bikes or atvs.
So I have to go solo when I go so I stay local.

pulverized,

It was 35 F when it happened, so I'm certain that did not help. Maybe Kawi used a different supplier for the Limited plastic?
