For the Prairie 650, is it the 360 or the 700 belt that works a little better? Does the belt run just as good as the 650 belt? Does it last as long?

I installed a P700 belt on my P650. It now runs 1 mph faster on top-end in high range and 2 mph more on top-end in low range. The increase in speed is due to the extra width of the P700 belt. I've heard the P360 belt is also wider than the P650 belt, but I don't know for sure how much improvement on top-end it will make b/c I've never installed one on my quad. I'm told by Kaw. customer service that the P700 belt is made of more durable materials and thus, it should last longer than the P650 belt.

In case you are interested, I did some timed acceleration tests with the P700 belt vs. the P650 belt. I posted the results here or you can just do a search on this forum (Kawasaki section) for "P700 Belt Drag Times on Asphalt"

Since we are talking about belts. I have an 03P360 and the belt is slipping. Is there anything I can do short of taking it to the shop to stop this. Do I need a new belt? My check belt light is continously on also.

Again, you might find the answers to your questions about your P360 by looking at www.atvpower.com. Look at the info on P650 belt deflection adjustment and P650 belt light reset procedure. That being said, I'm not sure if the P650 and P360 info will be identical with respect to these 2 items...but I'm guessing they might be. Its worth a shot.
