What's the proper pressure to pump in the rear shock of my P 650.
Blew one shock and the new one I find sinks down real easy.
I weigh about 225 pounds . Bike has no more than 50 pnds on
rear rack(bumper + passenger seat.

I bumped my stock rear shock on the old 650 up to 400 psi, this made a great improvement in the ride and it did raise the rear height. Mine was saging due to some slight abuse,LOL,,, when I raised the pressure I actually kept adding a little more pressure and a little more until I seen the rear end lift. It took 400 psi to get it to raise and I was a little nervous about that much pressure but we raced it and jumped it hard and had no problems!

Thanks prariewrench. I was told at the dealers that they can pump it up to
300, but i'll have to get some more info from some motocross pro's
around here. I'm happy to know that I can bring it up to 400 without
it blowing up. Thanks

Nito. charged shocks are made to be adjusted. Look at the motocross
circuit; they adjust the pressure according to the drivers weight and
how agressive the track is. It's the same shock on our Prairies exept
maybe diferent lenth. I don't see why we can't do the same. If it
prevents the shock from bottoming out , I say why not.
