When braking hard on slow steep down hills she shrills very loudly letting all the wild life for a mile know I am in ther area. Anyone do the permetex tacky compound on the back of the pads to fix this?

 

The brake calipers have built-in springs. When mine started sqeaking, I found dirt had packed behind the springs and kept them from doing there job. They are not coil springs, just two metal tabs. Once I cleaned them out, no more sqeaking. You have to remove the calipers, but that is very easy.

 

DITTO: clean the pads and the hardware. Mine started at 60 miles!
