I HAVE READ ALOT ABOUT 650P THEY SOUND LIKE A REALLY NICE MACHINE SO I WENT AND BOUGHT A USED 2002 65OP .. IT HAS 4000 KMS ON IT IT HAS 25 INCH BEAR CLAWS NOT A WHOLE LOT OF BOTTOM END AND NO TOP SPEED HARDLY 90 KMS IS IT TOP SPEED... BUT IT IS SLOW PICKING IT UP. AND MOTOR RUNS GREAT CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT MY PROBLEM WOULD BE? I KNOW IT SHOULD BE FASTER FROM WHAT I HAVE READ OFF OF THIS SIGHT. I FOUND THERE IS SOME REALLY GOOD INFO ON HERE. I AM SOME GLAD PEOPLE PUT THESE ON HERE AND TAKE THE TIME TO READ THEM AND ANSWER THEM ... CAN ANYONE HELP ME GET GOING FASTER IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU SKUN

 

you need to check you belt deflection. Chances are with that many kilos on it the belt is either loose of needs replacing. The bottom end should drop your jaw..........i've never seen top end on mine......55mph is as fast as i've gotten, but that was with the laws.......figure the ATR's will let me push a little harder [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

my performance started going down and it was because my belt was worn slap out.dealer put on a new belt and set the deflection a little on the tight side and wow what a difference.the backshifting is better now than when it was new.

 

Skun, If you get a new belt, ask for the P700 new type of belt. There's better performance with the new 700's belt. I have a Grizz that would do 104 kph with Stock tires but can hardly get 100 with Bearclaw 27". My P700 for the breaking period, I didn't want to do more than 100 but had lot more to give and I drive Mudlites 27". I would take a look at the belt for sure because thos machine with stock goes will over 100.

By the way are you going to the 2004 NB ATV Jamboree in May (20-21-22-23) it will be host in Edmundston? (My hometown where I grew up) They have awesome trail system, with over 1000 members in the area!!!
