I am planning to run my 03 P650 in a GNCC race on Jan 31st and I have a question. I now have 84 hours on my quad and would like to know EXACTLY when does the 100 hour belt light come on? Does it actually come on at exactly 100 hours? I thought I once read on these forums that their 100 hour light came on at 90 hours and another said it came on at 105 hours?

Here's why I ask, if the light comes on during the race...I need to be prepared for it! Also, what effect does the 100 hour belt light have? Does it just flash the idiot light on my handlebars display or does it also slow the quad down to a few miles per hour until I do the correct procedure to fix it? I can live with the light flashing...but slowing down to 10 mph during a race is not gonna be fun!

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

 

mine came on at 101 hours, i was riding at the time and the belt light just started blinking and had no effect on power or 4wd until i shut it off and turned it back on again. then i was limited to 7mph and 2wd. takes less then 5 min. to reset

 

How do you reset the belt light?
I have just purchased a P700 and I am compiling all the tips that a person may need on the trail.

my light hasn't ever come on! been riding it all over since june, must have over 100 by now.

 

Mine came on at 112 hours....I thought it was kinda screwy to wait that long,but I watched it closely,and it didnt blip at all till 112. And my machine was not governed when the light was on. '03 P650, fully powered with the light on. Just my 2 cents.

 

Grizz, what is Nyrocs web sites, I want as much info on the P700 as I can gather.
