did you try a compression test water in the gas just check the basics float level in the carb timming is it a 2 or 4 stroke does it have good fire if so what color is it should be blue not yellow check the flywheel key etc if your plug is black your getting to much gas , the carb may need to be soaked in solution does it run now????????? hope this helps

It takes 3 things to make an engine run.
1 ignition (spark)
2 compresion
3 carburation
It might not run perfect until you get the 3 set. However if you have all of these it will start. So you are missing one or maybe two of these and need to figure out wich one.
A engine will turn over if a plug is fouled, it just wont start. Try a new plug instead of trying to clean an old one. Also how long has it been that it has ran? Has it sat with gas in it for very long? Etc, Etc, Etc.................

Being that old the tank might be rusty, thus contaminating the system, Like before check compression, to check plug , take it out, put plug back in boot, lay on cylinder head where the body of the plug can ground, kick, pull or push the starter and watch for an arc at the electrode. It it has a good arc then the spark system is good, if not then start looking through the firing system. Make sure your not flooding and gas is comming out of the spark plug hole or you will have a nice little fire on your hands.

Not to seem like a smart A$$ ensure the kill switch is not on. Also put in some fresh gas and try kicking/pullstarting instead of the starter, if its electric start. A weak battery will fire but not start using the electric starter sometimes.

well it has plenty of compression and my carb is fine. Im waiting on my spark plug. The gas i run is 93. Its a 2 stroke! The injector for the oil works fine. It just will not run. Turns over fine

Sounds like you arent getting spark, have you checked for that?
I know you said, you have plenty of gas...but is it fresh?
How long has it been, since it ran last?
If you have fresh gas and good spark, and still wont start, then have someone push or pull start you.
