700 belt on a 360
#1
Has anyone tired this.. Or is it best just to stick with the 360 belt?? Seen allot of post indicating the 700 belt is very good, & was wondering if it's better then the 360 belt & I assume it will fit, thanks..

Actually, I'm told that the P360 belt is a little longer than the P650/P700 belt...if that is true, I'm guessing that putting a P650 or P700 belt on a P360 will result in lower top-speeds b/c the belt will be unable to go all the way to the top of the primary pulley. Plus, I'm told that the P360 belt is just a hare wider than the P700 belt, so that the width of the P700 is not an advantage to your quad.

Actually I think the 360 & 700 belts are the same width ( where it counts )... but the 360 belt is a few mm longer... the shape of the 700 is improved, as the 360 belt is the same diamond shape as the older 650 belt...you may lose .5-1 mph switching to the 700 belt, just as the bigger twins may see a .5 - 1 mph increase... the 360 belt is already stronger than the old 650 belt... if you needed a belt, & there were no 360 belts, you may get by using a 700 belt, but it may be tight on the bases of your pulleys, & squeal in gear or want to walk at idle...
