messed up dial-a-jet install!! HELP!!

UPDATE:
I just changed out the air snorkel on my DAJs and in doing so, I went up slighly in size on the air snorkel tubing from 3/8 to 7/16. I also inserted a 90 degree brass elbow into the air snorkel lines where they turn down and exit the airbox (they were slightly pinched at this bend before and the new elbows should be less restrictive)...I'm hoping these slight changes will flow a little more air into DAJs and perhaps lean out my mixture a little more. I test drove it this morning and it runs faster than it ever has before, no kidding! (I should also mention that I just changed out my P650 cams for stock v-force cams at the same time I made the above changes to my DAJ air snorkels) It also starts easier than it ever has since adding the DAJs (no choking necessary when cold!).

with the daj i was 165 and 168 iam now at 175 and 180. i undestand what you're going threw i did also. at the time i did mine everybody was doing them and thats about all that was posted. daj to rich, daj's are junk, daj's are a rip off. a couple people got where they loved them and i kept plugging and even though i really couldn't tell at the time (other mods) i think i didn't realize that they worked. i"am now with just kehin jets i gotta start all over. the dyno says i am good but after cking the plugs there black not tan like they were when dynoed. also the daj's won't work if you are rich. if you call daj the fellow there will explain how they work and what you should try. i called him twice and tryed to change my voice because i swore he was just talking cuz (wanted to see if he changed his story)i couldn't get them right.

I hate you that you guys are having so much trouble with your DAJ I absolutely love mine and highly recommend them to everyone. You can look at my pics in my profile and if you look close in one of the pics you can see the snorkle tube just above fuel line. (Just so you guys know im not blowing smoke, I do own one and love it)

To me, it sounds like with the proper jetting and mods and then a proper install of the DAJ's, that it works great with some benefits. I do know for sure that better fuel atomization (which they proclaim) does result in better gas mileage and possibly better power. Both crisper throttle repsonse and that peppier feel could easily also be the case. It also sounds like it's possible that the stock jetting on a Prairie is a little rich to begin with, because of all the sport bikes that I've read about, they don't have the richness problem. This is all speculation, but I'd say I'm pretty close!
Chris
P.S. I think I'm going to try it as soon as I do my airbox mods and exhaust.

you are probably right. from what i've read most utes are jetted fat from the factory (to keep them cool) and most sports are jetted lean (to make them run).
I've had my feal of them, they are coming off and Keihns going in...
good luck and let us know how things turn out.
