new owner with some questions
#1
hi, i just got an 04 aztec red P700. it is an awsome bike!! it eats my buddy's rincon for lunch!!! the questions i have are #1 are thier any sites that show how to make a nice mud/water fording snorkel? #2 i want to get some 28" outlaws and put on will they fit without any major fitment issues with some offset wheels(ITP c-series MMmmmm) or wheel spacers and a little fender trimming? and to start with i want to do the nyroc muffler mod, CDI module(which one??), black spring, twin air, snorkel and re-jet the carbs. should i get dial-a-jets or just rejet the carbs? i'm kinda new to quads but i have a good friend that works at a quad shop(they do mainly upgrade stuff) so i have someone to help me. also, out of the mods listed above what order should i do them in?? the first thing is the tires though because from what i've read on here the stockers are horrible. i have a buddy with a stock 360 4x4 and his tires clog up really quick(stock dunlops). anyways that's about it for now. i really appreciate any help or info. thank you. this quad rules!!
P.S. everybody seems really nice and helpful on here except that one grizzly guy. but every forum i've ever been on in my life has "one of those guys". LOL

1st id do the holeshot module, or wait for the cdi. If you want it to be a little louder do the nyroc mod. Then the black spring after you have a few miles on it. K&N or twin air next . DG snorkle or napa #7335, and jet if needed.P.S. cool sign on name

Welcome to the fourm... I think you also might consider water wetter to keep it a tad cooler. If you snorkle the bike you would want to do the snorkle to the clutches as well. The Prairie doesn't like water in the carbs... it's really hard to drain it out properly.

thank for the info! i have another question that i forgot to add. with a lift and the 28's will i need new front axles?? i hope not because those gorilla axles are BIG $$$$$$$$$!!!!!

Gorillas arent any more than the oem ones though. Just remember that 28" tires will slow your quad down quite a bit. It will turn them great but if you like to drag race then i would reconsider.

drag racing is no concern to me. it's gonna be a thick soft sand trail and nasty swamp mud and flag pond bike. this bike will see very few haed packed trails or pavement. should i just go with 27's?? i see almost everybody on here has 27's. you can't run 27's or 28's without a lift can you??? the thing about the axles is that i don't want to have to replace them at all, well at least for a few years or so. yeah i've already read about snorkeling the transmission inlet/outlet cooling pipes. how hard is it to do and what should i use, PVC or big rubber hose?? once i snorkel it will i need to re-jet or will it till be ok until i get a good air filter and exhaust mods? yeah, i'm definately gonna use the redline water wetter. i swear by that stuff!!! i've used it in all my cars for a few years now. i read on (i think nyrocs website) a kawasaki technical website where he wrapped 12" of the front cylinders exhaust, used water wetter and had the module and his bike ran so much cooler that the fan barely kicked on. that's gonna be a big thing for me in this insane florida summer heat!! well, sorry for running up such a long post but i want to do it right the first time and i don't want to break my new beast. thank you guys for al the help so far!

Aslong as you use aftermarket wheels such as the itp wheel and tire kits , you can run any size you want without a lift. I dont have a lift and yet to have a rubbing issue. You might as well go with the 29.5" tires that just came out . They sound right up your ally. But the might need a lift
