When I was 15 years old (seems like quite awhile ago [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]), I got thrown off my dirt bike ('72 Yamaha 125 2 Stroke) going of a jump and landed on my arm/ wrist. I grew up on a farm and my dad did not have health insurance. He told me it was just a sprain also. After a full week I still did not have good use of my hand and it was still swollen. My mom took me to the doctor, against my dad's wishes. It turned out that I had broken my wrist and hand in 3 separate places! The worst part was that the bones had already started to set on their own and the doctor had to rebreak the bones to set them properly. I can tell you that the pain of having the bones rebroken was far worse than any pain I have had since in my life! I am 41 years old and have had my share of torn ligaments, broken bones, cuts, burns, etc... Having the bones in my wrist and hand rebroken stands out as the worst hurt I have ever had. If your hand is still out of sorts come the morning, go see the school nurse and ask her/ him for an opinion. The nurse is trained and will be able to give you a good idea. I bet that she will recommend you get it X-Rayed. As for your quad.... It can always be repaired later. Sounds like you bent your tie rod arms and may have to replace them.

Guy you need to go get that arm check out. I'm a EMT on a fire department and looking at the picture it might only be sprain but only a x-ray can tell for sure. The bike can be replaced your arm can't

ok it is time to quit sayin I hope it isnt broken and go in and get it checked out...To me it looks like it is broken...if it was a sprain chances are it would hurt alot worse then what it does now...trust me I sprained my ankle really bad (like it swelled up to the size of a soft ball no bs) and I was on crutchs for like 6 weeks! I stayed home several days because it hurt so bad

 

update.. yep its broken not my wrist my arm.. my left bone(the ulna i think its called? dunno) was broken completely off and under my radius arm bone.. theres 2.. i broke the smaller one i think dunno... god i hope they can give me laughin gas b4 doin any thing.. other wise i will hurt the guy because i am not going through any more pain! pics soon

 

Good thing you got it checked out.

You probably bent a tie rod. You can get a new one at the dealer for about 10 bucks.

 

like u said though.. f**k the 4-wheeler man.. i just need this thing resolved... oh.. and whats broken is the hub/brake in the front.. a peice of metal bent from the force.... GOD they better put me under or i will die.. OMG i can hear that drill now AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHH

 

I broke my finger this winter playing basketball. I smashed it into the floor. It was the last bone is the finger and had to get three pins in it. Having anything bone broken sucks. I wish I had some pics of the pins. Good luck with your arm.

 

hey guys good news.. they said the bone is bent and really close to my hand.. blablabla.. 2 options.. hit it back into place.. ow.. or wear a cast and hope it goes back into place.. WELL NO CRAP.. picked option 2.... i got a full cast now [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] i feel much better.. i was so scared my hands were shakeing and i kept praying... man i was so scared.. im glad im ok.. well if it doesnt grow back like they want it... they gonna break it lol.. ow
