this is in regards to the problem im having with my 800 kit blowing oil out crankcase vent tube. i did compression check to make sure not blow by. results dont sound good front cylinder about 75lbs little more the back cylinder about 152lbs sounds like problem . but according to service manual compression check with starter at 290rpm should read between 45-75lbs which on front i got 75 little more . why is back reading so high then if thats the case . or should front read close 150lbs also with starter .if it should read that high then it is more likely blow by in front cylinder putting the pressure in crankcase am i right .

come on guys somebodys got to know something . i dont want to tear this down if i dont have to . it sounds like a problem . it runs so good though why i find it hard to believe its blow by . could it be possible front rings havent seated yet . or why 2 cylinders read so different.

Do you absolutely trust your compression guage? Just asking. I had one that gave me fits a few years ago.
If you didn't do it before, take three or four readings on each cylinder. Better safe than sorry.

2prairie700s checked both cylinders twice both read same thing each time so figure gauge is correct. kawaski i may have an hour on it or little more. thats why say dont want to tear it down matter just rings not being seated yet . but like i said why cylinders read so different psi .
