Are you talking about the out-n-back rack. or the CMP Full rear rack. I think the CMP rack would be perfect because it is not a huge rack like the ones on the utility quads. And you could put one of those flat style 3.2 gallon fuel packs on it, and plenty of room for other things on top of it.

The posts I've seen about racks bending frames have to do with the added torque applied in a wreck because the rack extends out so far. More feet = more foot pounds of torque applied in an accident. I think the racks bolt on too strong... they should be designed to break free before they break or bend the frame but the ones I've seen do not... they bolt on so strong they might as well be part of the frame. Price you pay to carry cargo.

The V Force doesn't have the same frame gusseting that the Prairie does... I doubt very much, that the rack alone, if driving aggressively would effect the frame, but it is appearent that a gas can & a cooler on the rack, & aggressive riding will break the frame ( seen 2 or 3 different cases now )... so, if you are willing to drive casually while carrying anything on the rack, you should be fine, but don't be suprised if you forget, & rip it up alittle, if you encounter frame cracking problems...
I learned along time ago, that any problem can be engineered out of anything... I'm sure if you know that there could be a potential problem, you could add extra braces or frame gusseting, before you ever get a problem...

The thing with a snapping bolt is no one wants a rear rack on the ground when they are out on the trail 10 miles from their truck. Say the rack had your food and gas on it. The food would get mangled up pretty hard and the gas may leak out some. Also how do you get this stuff back ? Maybe what needs to be done is we put on the hitch from the Praire and make a brace to the rear rack or grab bar and that will fix the problem. It won't look the best but it would be easy to make or just gusset the frame in the rear.
EDIT: PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO MY HITCH TO GRAB BAR IDEA, I was drunk.

I would seriously love to get me a rear rack on the V but this frame issue has put a stop to it for now. When I get down south I may get someone to gusset it up for me, I could fabricate a rear rack pretty easy, I think. Or maybe I will just buy myself a tiny 110v baby mig to learn on and use it to gusset it the frame myself. I will need lots of practice first though. I don't want to melt a hole in my frame.
Just thought of my hitch to rear grab bar idea!!! What the hell was i thinking, lol. May as well have no rear shock. I just wasn't thinking on that one.
