The only difference that stands out is the front bumper and the racks. The 700 belt is different from the 650 and most people will tell you is far better. I can't remember if the clutch is different(must be to tired). The 64cc's make a pretty good difference though. Why get the 650 if you can get the 700 unless you are able to get the 650 a good bit cheaper. You will be happy with either one, both are awsome machines.

I agree with Syrupdawg...I bought my 03 P650 one year ago now and 6 weeks afterwards, Kaw. announced the 04 Prairie was 700cc...and I've regretted THE TIMING of my quad purchase ever since then! Nevertheless, I am very glad I bought a Prairie and I have to admit that I got a pretty good deal on the 03 b/c it was at the end of the season for that year model.

There is very little differences between a 650 and 700; I do agree you should be happy with the 650 (633cc) aswell but the 700 (697cc). The clutch is better design should last longer. The 700 will be more powerfull in the mid range by quite a bit. I also notice the plastic is weaker on the 700 compared to my 02 650. There is not many new 650s left either.

The P700 is faster than the 650. That is a real difference.
If you are competetive and read this forum long enough, you will start adding mods to your quad, and you will never stop unless you're a better man than me . If you are not competetive and not mechanical, then you probably won't mod either one except for new tires and front springs.
My point is you can spend $1,000's on mods. I have so much into my 02P650, it would take one heck of a machine to make me get rid of it, since few mods are transferable.
Get the one you want or you will never be quite satisfied with what you got.
