Major 360P breakthru(i think-need advice)
OK guys, I stopped on the way home and bought a new spark plug and ran bike full throttle about 1000 yards and pulled plug and it still looked brand new(with snorkel off and I thought i had the 170 main in it. So I figured I was lean--pulled carb apart and was gonna take a small drill bit to jet and discovered I only had the 150 in it??? It sucks to get old and your eyes cant see those little numbers on the jets. I replaced the 150 with the 170 and did the same full throttle run---Bike was breakin up real bad at all throttle positions (still have the snorkel off) and upon pulling plug it is definitely BLACK and running rich---so there goes the bigger jet theory---I am going to start backing down on the jets and see if I can get a good plug read with all of them. I am also going to leave the snorkel off for testing

lowesttaco, how did that HMF work out for ya, any improvement or just more noise?? Havn't gotten to the snorkel removel yet, probably will be next week, suppose to be going out of town later this weekend if THIS DAMN RAIN EVER STOPS!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

it seems to help out a little, but with a lot of noise, i kinda like it though it's a lot lighter and smaller that the stocker. i seem to have a lot more low end power and my top end increced by about 1.5mph. in all i think it's worth it. if you don't want all the noise HMF has released a new line that is super quiet, check it out at their website www.hmfengineering.com
