does your prairie top end speed vary ???
Just wondering if anyone out there has seen variations in there top end speed? I have a 2004 700 prairie. After the 10 hour break in I opened it up on a black top road. It was about 75 degrees and I had a strong wind to my back. I hit 69 mph. About a week later, same road with little wind to my back, 73degrees I hit 67mph. Last night same road,63 degrees and no wind I topped out at 63 mph. My 700 is stock except for a K&N air filter and snorkle. Does air temperature affect top speed? Does the type of gas used effect speed? Also does the use of the black spring in the secondary pulley, decrease top end slightly? Your opinions on these questions and any other comments you have would be greatly apprieciated.
