Tryed the cap, no luck.

 

Have you checked the diaghrams in the carbs? All it takes is one little nick in them to not seat right.

 

Make sure that battery is strong and is at 14.2v running revved up above idle J.H

 

Check the carbs again tonight, cleaned the pilots and checked for exhaust leaks, all good there. Tommorro I will have the Valves and the CDI.

 

When this is all over you will know your quad inside and out, lol.

 

Well, I fixed it! Went threw the valves tonight and they were within specs, so I put it back together and went for a rip down my road. same resolts, sputter sputter. My buddy said "hey your outerwear looks like its sucking in." I had installed a outerwear on my Napa intake so it would not suck water, it ran great a few times but something said I quit. Pulled the filter off and It runs!!! thanks to ever one who tryed to help me. RACE ON!!

 

Did you check to see if both carb pistons were free, and moving full range? Did you look for tears in the piston diaphragms? I used to work on multi-carb cars, and a torn CV diaphragm can cause all kinds 'o weirdness.

 

Yup checked both carbs. It was the outerwear on the intake hose. I had a outerwear on the filter and the hose. one too many!
