Default tie rod ends

Iwas riding my prarie along a road going kinda fast and came to a very fast stop,My freakin tie rod came apart and left me with no steering or control otherwise stranded. I feel fortunate yhat I carried some tools with me ,actually I carry way too much tools, I got it back together and away I went, The point I am concered about is noticed the tie rod ends barely bite, two or three threads then a locking nut,If that locking nut was to come loose like mine a world of hurt could happen. This is factury setting.

Default tie rod ends

There should be cotter pins in all of the tie rod studs/bolts to prevent that from happening. You might wanna check into getting some!

Default tie rod ends

I think he means the rod itself that goes into the tierod end. Count your threads on each end . If there is alot more on one side , you have problems
