trailer hitch for v-force
#2
I was looking at a Prarie rear end last week and it looks identical to my V's. It should work. The mount I saw mounted to the mounting plates on both sides of the rear housing. Don't take my word for it, ask a dealer or take a tape measure to your local shop. Now I'm curious.

Yea, it will work, lots of people have done this. The rear end of the Prairie and the V are the same except for the reinforcing ring on the V rear end. You can look up the part number at www.kawasaki.com under parts drawings for the Prairie.
There is also a hitch made by CMP, and available at rockymountainatv.com

If you lokk at the pics in my bio, you'll see a Prairie axel with the V Force reinforcing ring... with the reinforcing ring on the outside ( as on my Prairie ), all you need is longer bolts... if you put the hitch on the out side, some trimming is required, & the longer bolts... Kawi does not stock bolts long enough for both the hitch, & the reinforcing ring, so take one each ( 2 sizes ), & match the size, pitch, & get them 1/4" longer, & you're in business... also the hitch actually strengthens the rear axel more than it is with the reinforcing ring alone, as it adds strength to the left side of the axel as well... you can also do up a short piece of steel to connect the 2 front bolts on the hitch, on the left side, for the ultimate in rear axel strength...
