360 prarie belt

Default 360 prarie belt

just had a new drive belt installed and it still has the squeel when starting off and when under strain. would it be advised to put belt dresing on it?

No belt dressing is needed. You must have to many spacers in from the factory if all you did was install a new belt and it still squeels when taking off. You should remove a spacer from your secondary. I have detailed pictures on how to do this if you want to try it yourself and save some money. I think its fun and I get a lot of enjoyment from doing my own work. I do understand some guys have time restraints that prevent them from doing it though. Most everyone in here is willing to help.

Default 360 prarie belt

Hey kod my bike went into limp mode today and i reset the light by using the wires it came on six times today made a long ride home i took cover off and switch was not triped i wonder what happed to my belt it has 450 miles on it and looks fine the last time it triped the bike into limp mode and it back- fired really loud i had to drive home about 10 miles a hour what a pain in the ***.

I have never experienced this "limp mod". With my 02 P650 the only way I can get it is to have the belt switch tripped. I dont think that is your problem. If Im at my dealer today I will ask the service techs what they know about the limp mod and how they fix it. Sorry I cant be of more help.
