Default Brute Force 750 Problems

lol the only place mine could have got moisture was at the dealer, they left it out in the rain. I keep it garaged and like I said, it's been at the dealer's since I bought the damn thing in September, I've never even gotten it dirty. so how hard it is it to take off? from what I've read in posts here the dealer gets 3 hours to install a new one, is it THAT hard?

oh yeah, will it hurt if I run this BF with that fuse pulled? will I just not have KEBC or will I chance hurting the system? I am supposed to go wheeling this weekend but I could take my 4 year old Polaris lol.

.. Hey elkbow, Albuquerque, eh? I go to Santa Fe about twice a year to visit my folks and I take the quad along to horse around at the track in Byron. I grew up there-- how I miss the open country...........

Not to mention the crank problems I have herd about, even the one ATV TV tested left them sitting on the bottom of a mountain.
I got just over 400 miles on my Brute so far it has been flawless, and I ride it hard in a lot of rocky terrain, put highlifter wheel spacers and badlands XTR's on it and it feels great.
That makes no sense. If 50% of the fuel pumps go bad there would be a recall. Get the real facts instead of this poor attempt to bash. First of all it isn't like the EFI is new, its the same that has been around for years in the other products. Second of all ( for the record I like the BF) but, if you look up problems with the sp 700EFI which has been around at least a year longer than the BF, you will find that the BF has much more reliability problems. Case in point....this thread, water in the airbox, jetting, 4WD issues, etc.

I own/owned em both and I can tell you for fact that I didn't have one problem with my 700EFI, I rode the thing every weekend until I wrecked it. Only thing I didn't like about the EFI was the drive train noise, but that was something I got used to, like the jet airplane noise of the Kawi tranny, those type things don't really bother me on the trail. but this Brute Force has one problem after another so far, if I did what the dealer said and waited until the recall parts came in before I rode it, it would still be in the shop! I like the speed, power and get up and go the Brute has, but the EFI had a far superior ride. All I expect when I plop down 8 thousand dollars on an ATV is to be able to ride the damn thing. I realize with new models there are always quirks, but my first Kawasaki experience has been hell so far. At least Polaris delt with recall issues in a timely manner and I didn't have things like this KEBC motor going out with less than 10 hours and be sitting here wondering if they are going to cover it under warranty. If a Polaris machine had a problem, by God they fixed it free if you were under warranty, you didn't get an answer like "well it depends on what's wrong with it".

I have seen just the oposite , every Polaris I ride with has some kind of problem every week or 2, I would never buy one because of what I have seen over the years and still are seeing all the time, I have no serious issues with my BF and had none with any of my prairies , as well as the other Jap bikes I have owned, These polaris are wearing tie rod ends and a-arm bushings out all the time, all them I ride with, if you are not having those problems you are real lucky are you really don't ride hard or much.

unfortunatly I'm not riding at all now lol! I'll be honest, I don't jump my ATV's or burry them in big mud holes, but I do ride about 40 miles each weekend of fast trail riding, up and down steep hills and crossing streams, rocks and top of the tire mud holes. I had a 700 carb model and the EFI and I never had anything go wrong with either one of them. so far I haven't even got to test this BF yet, what has me so upset is the way my dealer insinuated that this actuator motor may not be covered under warranty. I just hope they pay for it and that I can get out and enjoy it!

And still the BF has more complaints than the 700EFI. Says something doesn't it?

The kewl part is not only the wide open country, but you can head up to the mountains and get some mud and whatever else you want. I got the EFI because of the altititude changes, otherwise alot of other great machines out there like the BF. I'm planning on riding somewhere this weekend, I still owe the guys over on the Polaris forum a tire test. I bought two sets of ITP 27 inchers....the 589s and the Mudlites, both mounted on type 5C Aluminum wheels. I've tested the 589s pretty well, need to finish the test on the Mudlites....
