Default I just purchased a hot rod KFX 700 V-Force and it rocks!

Hi guys,
Thanks for helping me pick out this ride. I almost purchased a scrambler 500 when I went to the Polaris dealer and he said he only orders one a year. And Dallas is a large city. He says that they sell real slow. But if I want one, he will special order one. I thought about and and it occured that I will never be able to get rid of it if I want another ride.
So I went to Kawasaki and took a test ride. I was poping wheelies in the parking lot after about 5 seconds. I pulled up to a curb and jumped the front wheels over it without touching them to the concrete. Kind of like jumping a log.
Man, this thing rocks!!!
Then I went to dinner and the wife asked me to not purchase one yet, to let the finances get a little better. Crap, now how do I break this to here?
Anyway, what are some cheap mods to open it up. I don't want to spend much money. Maybe rotor rooter the exhaust, air intake mod and K&N filter, and rejet? Will I get anything? Any other ideas?
How about wheelie bars? I have a promod race car, its for sale by the way, and we have to have wheelie bars to keep from flipping over. I have made several pair out of chromoly tubing. They would only weigh about 5 pounds and be great for drags. Tall wheels for sand drags, small wheels for pavement or hard dirt.
Thanks for the suggestions,
Shawn

Hey Shawn, I just replied to your other post. Personally, I'd leave it stock with the exception of the air filter and rejetting right now. The bike runs great as is. For the small gain to be had by aftermarket performance parts, your money would better spent on full skids, if you need them where you ride. Get out and enjoy the ride.

You are right. For the mountains, I will need a little armor underneath. And the reason I got the machine was because I rocks stock. Anyone can purchase a smaller machine and hop it up and have reliability problems. I think a good air filter will be just fine. Do you have to rejet with an air filter change?

It depends. It's gonna lean you out a bit, see how it runs and adjust to taste. It's not like it's going to destroy your motor if you add a free flowing air filter and run stock jetting, but it may run a bit more hot since they are jetted fairly lean already from the factory.

I just checked out everyones pictures, and you guys look like you are having the time of your life. I sure wish we had a little more snow down here. All we get is ice storms and they suck.... We could also use a little more govt. land to ride on. We have lots of highways for cars, lakes for boats, and trails for walkers or bicycle riders. But its slim pickins for dirt bike and ATV.
