Yeah, thats right. 74 mph once at 7720 rpms and once at 7800 rpms. I never did break 75 but 74 is more than I though I would get. I also finally got my 50 mph in 350' this past weekend.

The top speed is mainly related to the clutch mod that no one seemed to be interested in, along with the proto type Dyna cdi.

50mph is mainly related to the Dyna cdi in conjuntion with the 4 degree offset key for a total advance timing of 35 degrees. Also, the Dalton Orange/Blue spring, which is a killer spring that I will probably never take out.

Low end and engine braking is not effected by the clutch mod. I still have enormous low end power along with very high top end. Engine braking is the same as before and very strong.

The top end was achieved by going downhill. Im still not sure if it will pull 74 on level ground. In the past it ran 69 downhill and 68 on level ground. I would suspect a top speed on level ground around 72-73.

I never got to race that P700 but did get to race another P650 and won by an atv length or more that I used to be equal with at 350'. Im just trying to give a comparison here for the speed gained.

I do have a slight ticking coming from the cvt area now that I didnt have. It goes away when the P650 gets warmed up. Its the same as other P650s I have heard though and am not "that" worried about it at this time.

I will have pictures up shortly showing how much the belt has riden up on the primary pulley along with some spark plug pictures in the "cold air intake mod" album.

KOD, I'm now hitting 72 on level ground. I may have to check into this clutch mod to see if I can hit the 75 mark. Thanks for all your help.

K.O.D. ... glad to see you came back with your right foot still attached ... that speed probably gives you one of the fastest 633's out there... I have a drag race & pull ( the club STEVE-O- is in ), in 2 weeks, & a radar run, the following week, then the 12 hours race, the week after that, that I plan on attending, to either help someone pit, or work the course, like I did last year ( I may take my quad with, in case I end up working )... then it's time to tear down & work on the quad, till winter ice races, which start in January... the clutch mod will definately be one of the 1st things on my list ( I already have the Dalton cover )...

KOD
YOU DA MAN!!
Hopefully Kawasaki will follow suite. Now doubt with the right clutch, Fuel setup, & Ignition the 650 Brute COULD be as fast or faster as the current 750I. Are you running Dynojet needles & clips if so what notch are your needles? Mines on the third notch from top and I have a small studder at 3/4 throttle. Will try going up one more notch.

Just received my orange/blue spring, seals, clutch tool, flywheel key and replacement Dyna FS. Can't wait to get it all installed & let her RIPPPPPPPPP.

You have a Great Website!!!! Hats off to you and NYROC. You've definately helped me in the performance arena and to reduce maintenance costs. BIG THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy trails

Well done, Tim. Mine has the same slight ticking noise; sounds like something to do with the engine braking forks, but hardly noticable. Not worth going looking for.
