Default Posting atv video question.....

Hey i own p360 and me and the fellas go out everyweekend with others and i capture alot of footage on my digitalcamcorder and digital camera.. I want to create my own little website and post all these to that website for others to watch.. I aint lookin for a big bad website, just something friends can check out if they want to see all this. I currently have 6 hrs of video and 1200 pictures of rides with alot more to come. I am gonna sell my p360 and buy a p700 or a brute later this fall so i know i will be out alot more capturing all the fun. All my riding has been done in WV. I am new to this and i dont know whats a good server to use or if there is cost involved or even how hard it is to create one of these, also the amount of storage versus cost for that storage. Any help would be appreciated..

I use www.1and1.com

* Includes 1 domain at no additional cost!
* 1,000 MB web space
* 25 GB monthly transfer volume
* 200 POP3 accounts
* 1 Virus Scanner included
* Active Server Pages
* FrontPage 2002 Extensions
* Microsoft Windows Powered

Windows based for $6.99 a month. Linux based for $4.99 a month. Considering I used to pay almost $100 a month to do it myself, this is really cheap. A Gigabyte of web space and 200 email addys is great. The servers are fast and you can stream video too! Also: the Web Statistics are great for seeing how many people visit your site and what pages they are looking at, etc. It's sweet!

Is 1 gig of storage enough or perhaps more.. Any others companies worth checking out also?

Well, when converting your videos for the web, the size will drop drastically. You should be able to put alot of videos on there with 1 Gb. I've got alot of videos on my site (some that aren't linked up yet) and the complete site size is 397 Mb.

I also found THIS web hosting site. There package says you get 5 GB's for $8.00 a month. Sounds like a great deal, but I'd check them out first if I were you.

You can probably find some better deals around the net, I only suggested 1and1 because I've been with them for over a year and have had no problems whatsoever.

I use Lunarpages. They are pretty damn good, they have two packages. I'm considering upgrading to their top of the line package. My website is all about video and photos.

All of them seem to be good hosts. However if you would like like 500mb of free space send me an email and I'll get you an ftp account. They upgraded me to unlimited MB from 800mb free of charge a while back and upped my transfer to like 40gb/mo.
