Default Carbs on the Prairie 650

HEY GUYS,

I WAS WONDERING HOW YOU GUYS GOT TO THE CARBS TO REJET THEM. DID YOU HAVE TO THE PLASTICS NEAR THE AIR BOX AND THE AIR BOX OUT TO GET TO THE CARBS TO PULL THEM OUT?? IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME OUT IN TELLING ME HOW TO PROCEED TO GET MY CARBS OUT TO REJET THEM I'D GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. WHICH PLASTICS HAVE TO COME OFF, AND OTHER MAJOR COMPONENT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT. OR!!! IS THERE AN EASIER WAY TO REJET THE CARBS WITH THE CARBS STILL ON OR AN EASIER WAY TO REJET IN GENERAL. ANY INFO WOULD HELP. THANKS ALOT

You don't have to remove the carbs to rejet them on a P650 (unless you just want to). I was able to do it by removing the CVT cover and perhaps the middle plastic where the gas tank area normally is. The hardest part is getting the 8 (brass colored) stock screws out of the carb bowls without stripping the tops of them...they are very soft, so use a new, sharp screwdriver to carefully get them out. Then replace them with allen head screws from your local Lowes or Home Depot.

Good luck and happy trails...
