KFX700 DMC Alien dual exhaust ... contacting rubber hose !!!???
Ok, am about 3/4 the way done installing my KFX700 DMC Alien dual exhaust, but noticed on the right side (rear cylinder) pipe it makes direct contact with a rubber hose (the one that plugs into the rear differential) and is also pretty close to two other rubber hoses that I think might be brake lines or similar. It is making contact kinda behind the foot peg and there is little room as it is almost pinched between the frame and the pipe !!!! So, lots of people have this exhaust, what are you doing to prevent melting the rubber hose ??? Maybe header tape or any other ideas ???
UUuuuuurgggghhh ... I am pretty sure they bent the pipes like this to get best flow but they should have designed a little better fit.
Odd thing is, I had a previous KFX700 with Aliens before returning it to the seller and the dealer that inspected it noted a melted hose but I never found it ... now I know what they were talking about.
