Default First trip 2 the dunes

Im taking my V force 2 the dunes(Glamis) 4 the first time this weekend.Most everybody that Im going with has a Raptor. What should i expect compition wise. Mostly hill racing.i have sand star/T9 paddles.

Depends on the modifications to the raptor, and to your v force. The raptor seems to fare a bit better in the sand however.

scagz...

If your only modification is paddles, you can expect to be outrun on the hillclimbs by most of the sportbikes after the first 100 feet or so. You'll need to do intake/exhaust mods as well as major clutching work to run with the raptors on the sand hills. If your stock, don't expect much.

If you are stock you won't come close to them. Don't worry if you hear clanking noise out of your tranny with the paddles. The V is alot of fun in the dunes. Don't hill climb all day go duning and you will have a blast.

How about a piped/pink springed V-Force compared to a piped DS-650 in the dunes? Just wondering..........

My V-force has the Muzzy, clutch kit, K&N with modded box, CDI and jetted right. At comp hill at buttercup have have been running a couple of weeks. When I am riding I was beating stock 450's sometimes. My buddies DS was pipied and jetted and he was a quad ahead of me. With his stage II he was beating me by about 4 quads at the top of the hill. If you get the hole shot and ride the whoops great it will be a good race. The V-force smokes everything for the first 100ft or so. If you keep the drags real short you will be king. I know my 720 will stomp on it but I will have to wait till next trip. I do have to say that the V-force is so much fun to ride I think better shocks are coming next year on my quad they made a huge difference on the DS.

Puttnutt..

I used to have a pink spring in my V and let me tell you, the pink does not even compare with a more agressive spring with the dalton weights and dalton cover. It's a difference you can really feel! As far as comparing the V to a DS, you can hold off the DS alot longer with a fully clutched V than just a V with a pink spring in it.
