Default Muffler water Drain plug P650 FAKE???

Well when I did the NYROC muff mod, I took out the "drain plug" on the muffler to find there isn't actually a hole under the bolt thread. Anybody else notice this? Is this an "option" a "fake" or what???

I watched a friend drain water out of his p650 muffler with it.

When I took mine out it seemed to be the same way but it turned out to be carbon buildup. It was very hard but did break out with a little persuasion.

Mine just came out, I think I soaked it first with WD40 probably. I have to check that again tonight, forgot to see if I can clear that hole again.

Thanks for all the replies! Maybe mine is just plugged with carbon, or a defect.

Yep, mine was solid too, but its the carbon build up as someone stated above. All I had to do was punch it out with a screwdriver and hammer.

For maintenance reasons, its a good idea from time to time to remove that plug and rev up the motor while in neutral so as to blow out the carbon build up in the muffler.

Happy trails...
