last week i won a progressive suspension front end kit for my p 700 on ebay for 129.99 shipped to me, what a deal. as far as the install goes, the easy way to do it is jack it up and let the strut fall out the top. then use a cherry picker and some wire to hold the top of the strut up and push down on the black cover and pull the c clip out. then just reverse the procedure. it was very easy to do. as far as the change in the suspension, from the little i rode it, it was amazing. it no longer dives and it transfers weight again. i put a winch on it a month ago and was about to take it off because it would do nothing but dig trenches at any speed with any throttle. now it feels right again and handles a lot better. this is the very first mod i would suggest to anyone for the p 700 especially if you have a winch. next on my list is the napa hose and a set of carlisle badlands tires because the stock tires pull a 30 inch vacuum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but first i have to get my sons blaster engine back together.

 

just got back from a 50 mile rough trail ride on the new progressive kit. my first set up was about 7/16 inch of preload. it was nice on jumps but way to stiff in general. i found a rock to pull up on and screwed the adjusters down to about a quarter inch and that did the trick. now it transfers weight and jumps much better but still has 0 traction in 2wd with any throttle. what tire will give me traction on the trails best. i am looking at carlisle badlands, itp atr holeshots, and the ducks unlimited wetlands. any info on any of these tires would be greatly appreciated.
