Default Battery relocation on lakota

Hey 98Lakota, thanks for the picture of the battery. It looks like that where it belongs in the first place. I gotta see if i can take my quad over to my friends house this weekend so we can make the battery fit there. We going to custom make a bracket on the bottom and weld it to the frame so the battery box can sit right on top of it. You said that there should be enough room under there even though i still have the stock airbox set up. Also can you see the battery if you look under the back of the quad and will it fit anything if i bottom out my shocks.

You'll have a hard time getting the stock battery box to fit. I had to make a new box. The battery needs to sit as high as possible to cause the least amount of problems with the caliper. I had to lengthen the arm that stabilizes the caliper to move it out of the way of the battery. You can move the battery about 1 1/2" toward the front of the quad from where I have it in that pic and have less interference.

Also, you will need to cut the hump off the rear plastic under the seat. Youll see what I'm talking about when you get that far.
