I found a left over '03 at a dealer..it seems the Laokota was lost in the warehouse..anyways..got a good price on it..just trying to decide to get it or a Yamaha Wolverine..I trail ride..but like to zip along too..I'm aabout 5'9' 250 lbs..any help would be great..thanks

 

basically, if you want somthing a bit more sporty and dont plan on taking the quad thru deep mup pits then get the lakota. if you need 4 wheel drive and are going to plow and go thru deep mud pits get the wolveriene. i rock crawl, climb steep hills, and ride in snow with my lakota and it does fine. When i go ride with my friend that has a honda fourtrax 4x4 i keep up with him just fine and can do mostly anything that he can in the trails. in my opinion, the lakota is a good mix between sport and utility quads

 

I got an 2003 lakota and love it. Im 6 feet and weight almost 200 pounds and my lakota has no problem getting my *** around. It's a fun, fast and great quad. If you ride trails it's prefect for you, it can get through a lot mud,snow ect. Over all it's a great quad and you wont go wrong with it. I havent had a problem with mine yet, im very happy with the performance of my lakota!

 

Thanks for the info guys...but I decided to buy a KFX-400...that orange color was calling to me..it looks pretty sweet sitting in the garage..can't wait to ride it later today..Later 'gatos
