Hot Prairie??

After a few minutes of hard riding my temp light is coming on. It started doing it when I added a dual snorkle. I did rejet for the added air and even added another shim to the needles. The radiator is clean, the oil is new and at proper level, the cooling system is holding pressure in the cap and fill bottle, the coolant is circulating as it should (so the thermostat is opening). The coolant filter is clean, air filter is clean and oiled correctly, Plug gap is correct and are a nice light tan color, fan is running, entire quad is dirt free right now including engine.
What else is left?? The only other thing I can think of is maybe the nyroc exhaust mod is still to restrictive for the amount of air and fuel thats being put in after the mods??? What do you guys think, is that a stretch? Can you think of anything else? Its only in the 60s and 70s outside right now. Thanks in advance.

I know you said you rejetted for the dual snorkel and other mods, but have you tried to rejet it again on the main jets (go richer still) to see if that cures your overheating problem? If the only thing you did was add a dual snorkel and its not overheating, I'm guessing that the cause is a lean condition.
PS - Also, add about 2 oz. of Purple Ice or Water Wetter to your coolant if you haven't already done so. That should cool it down some.

I know you said it was clean but if you are not completely sure check the mesh screen infront of the radiator. Had a friend whoes bike over heated because he had trash inbetween the screen and his radiator that got inbetween his cooling fins, just a thought. It sounds like its lean what size jets did you install?

Im at 155/158 mains, 3 shims on needles, 3 and 3.5 turns out on the screws. The plugs actually look a tad on the rich side if anything. (I was thinking the same as you) Im running water wetter in it. I recently had the whole quad apart putting on the team green plastic and cleaned the radiator with a radiator comb. I ordered an HMF Penland exhaust for it today I figured it couldnt hurt. This is really the first problem I have ever had with the Prairie that wasnt something obvious that I did to it.

Is the engine really overheating though when the temp light comes on? Have you checked the water temp sensor yet? It should come on at around 234F and the resistance should read less than 1 ohm at that temp.
